A Charge Air Cooled Aftercooler is designed to cool down the hot compressed air from the forced induction before it reaches the engine's combustion chamber. The core is the central part of the Aftercooler and is responsible for heat exchange. It usually consists of a series of small tubes or passages that are arranged in a pattern. These tubes provide a larger surface for heat transfer between compressed air and the cooling medium.
