144-3996: 12VDC Starter Relay

A Starter Relay is used in the Starting unit of internal combustion engines. When the driver turns the ignition key, an electrical signal is sent to the starter relay, which then activates an electromagnet inside it. The energized electromagnet pulls a plunger, completing the electrical circuit between the battery and the starter motor. Attributes: • Provided with a Weatherproof covering to protect the components of the Relay from the external environment • The latching mechanism maintains the relay in its activated or deactivated state without any continuous signal, hence saving energy Applications: A Starter Relay acts as an Intermediary between the Ignition switch and the Starter motor for safer ignition of the engine.
