Description: A Wear Band is used to eliminate metal to metal contact between the piston and cylinder barrel and prevent scoring or scratching, or hydraulic rod and the hydraulic cylinder head to prevent scoring and scratching. Attributes: There are different types of wear bands for different types of applications. Typical wear band widths are determined by the side loading requirements for each application. Wear bands can be made of plastic, coated metal and typically have a split in the side to aid in installation.
