Description: The Clutch Piston is responsible for engaging and disengaging the transfer gears. When engaged, it creates a mechanical connection between the input and output shafts of the transfer gears, allowing power to be transmitted. When disengaged, it interrupts the power flow, effectively decoupling the transfer gears. Attributes: • Ensures smooth gearshifts in the transmission transfer gears. • Made of materials that can withstand high temperatures, pressures, and friction. • Clutch pistons incorporate seals to prevent hydraulic fluid leaks and maintain proper pressure within the system. Application: The Clutch Piston enables the transfer of power from the transmission to the transfer gears. It engages and disengages the transfer gears to control the power flow to the front and rear axles or different drive systems and it is mainly used in Cat 14H and 16H Motor Graders.
