Description: A Spool is a cylindrical piece of machined steel that slides within a machined body used in the design of a relief valve. The relief valve is an important component that is used to regulate the pressure of the fluid within the system. The spool is used to carry the spring that powers the bypass valve in the filter base of the transmission oil filter assembly.
