Description: Link assemblies, driven by the sprocket and final drive, provide support for the machine weight, a rail for the machine to run on, and a place for the shoes to attach. Attributes: Cat® Sealed and Lubricated Track (SALT) seals lubricant into your undercarriage system and keeps abrasives out. It eliminates internal pin and bushing wear to reduce maintenance costs and downtime, while increasing service life and serviceability. SALT offers a universal undercarriage configuration for a wide range of underfoot conditions when coupled with a track design that matches your machine and operating environment. Positive Pin Retention (PPR) track has a metal retaining ring pressed into the groove between the pin and the link. This prevents end-play generation and helps ensure oil retention in high impact applications. Arctic components are filled with oil that has lower ambient temperature ranges than standard components. Recommended Application: Arctic components are designed for cold weather applications.
