A Clutch Piston is designed to facilitate the engagement and disengagement of Clutch packs within the transmission. It converts the hydraulic pressure into mechanical force, exerting pressure on the Clutch Pack. When the hydraulic pressure is applied to the Piston, it moves axially, compressing the Clutch Pack and causing the Clutch plates to come in contact or separate, depending on the desired operation.
