Description: Tungsten carbide (tiles) are applied to through hardened edges, creating a wear surface lasting up to 20X the through hardened edge alone. Tungsten carbide (tiles) are sensitive to sudden impact, so a better choice for more irregular roadways would be the carbide insert edges, where carbide is centered in a through hardened edge. Curved serrated edges can penetrate better than a non-serrated option as they can apply more down pressure. Attributes: Serrated Cutting Edges increase penetration capabilities in highly compacted soil or in applications that have higher impact loading requirements. This lends greater versatility to the machine without requiring a bucket change or the addition of other G.E.T. to the existing bucket.
