20R-8988: Reman Engine Piston

Description: A Reman Engine piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the engine cylinder. It is connected to the crankshaft via a connecting rod, which converts the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotational motion of the crankshaft. Seals are also used to prevent oil leaks around the piston and connecting rod. Attributes: • Provides seals to prevent leaks. • Withstand high temperatures and pressures without deforming. Applications: An Engine piston is sealed against the cylinder walls by piston rings, which prevent combustion gases from escaping into the crankcase and oil from entering the combustion chamber, this is mostly used in Cat 785D, 789D, 793D, 793F, 794, 795F, 797, 797B and 797F Truck, C175-16 and C175-20 Engine (Piston), C175-16 and C175-20 Generator Set, PR43C Locomotive.
