A Radiator Aftercooler, also known as an intercooler, is a device used to cool the compressed air before it enters the engine's intake manifold. The aftercooler works by passing the compressed air through a series of tubes or fins, which are cooled by either air or liquid. This cooling process helps to reduce the temperature of the compressed air, increasing its density and allowing for more oxygen to be packed into the combustion chamber. It is located between the turbocharger and the engine's intake manifold.
