272-5767: Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch

The Refrigerant Compressor Clutch is a part that engages and disengages the refrigerant compressor shaft. It is controlled by an electrical signal from the air conditioning system controller. When the air conditioner is turned on, the controller sends a signal to the clutch to engage, causing the compressor to start pumping refrigerant. When the air conditioner is turned off, the controller sends a signal to the clutch to disengage, stopping the compressor.
