Description: An Accumulator is a pressure storage reservoir that allows a hyrdraulic system to manage extreme system demands. Attributes: Cat® Accumulators store pressure, allowing the hydraulic system to use less powerful pumps to respond to temporary quick demands for pressure. WARNING: Consult your dealer for the proper procedures to relieve accumulator system pressure prior to servicing the accumulator. Failure to do so may result in injury or death. Recommended Application: Cat Accumulators may be used in a variety of applications including hydraulic systems, allowing the system to manage pressure spikes, an example of which might be a heavy load.
