Description: A Turbocharger, often referred to simply as a turbo, is a device used in internal combustion engines to increase the engine's power and efficiency. It operates on the principle of forced induction, which means it forces more air into the engine's cylinders, allowing for more fuel to be burned and producing more power. Attributes: • Seals are used to prevent oil leakage and maintain the proper functioning of the turbocharger. • Constructed from materials capable of withstanding high temperatures and pressures. • Air Inlet Passages and Lube oil passages to bearings. • Lubricate Threads before Assembly. Application: A Turbocharger's purpose is to increase the power output of an internal combustion engine by compressing the intake air and delivering it to the engine at a higher pressure and density. The compressed air allows for a larger mass of fuel to be burned in each combustion cycle, resulting in increased power and torque. They are mainly used in Cat C30 and C32 Engine (Piston), C32 Generator Sets.
