Product Description
A Detonation Sensor Harness also known as a knock sensor harness connects the detonation sensors to the engine control unit (ECU) or engine management system in a vehicle. Detonation sensors, or knock sensors, are used to detect engine knocking or detonation, which is an undesirable condition that can lead to engine damage. Attributes: Protected by insulation or conduit. Ensure reliable power delivery and provide accurate data. Applications: A Detonation Sensor Harness is used to transmit the electrical signals generated by the knock sensors to the engine control unit. These signals provide information about the occurrence and intensity of engine knocking, allowing the engine control unit to adjust the ignition timing and fuel mixture to prevent detonation and optimize engine performance. It is extensively used in Cat® G3508 Generator Set, G3508, G3508B, and G3508J Engines (Piston).
