342-4640: Self Aligning Bearing

A Self-Aligning Bearing is a type of rolling contact bearing which consists of two rows of balls (which roll on a common spherical surface in the outer race) and two deep uninterrupted raceway grooves in the inner ring. The assembly of the shaft, the inner race, and the balls with the cage can freely roll and adjust themselves to the angular misalignment of the shaft. Attributes: • Spiral lubrication groove on the inner ring inside diameter • Radial internal clearance ranges from 0.1mm to 0.2mm • Provided with 2 oil holes of size 6mm • Very loose conformity between balls and outer ring keeps friction and frictional heat at low levels Applications: A Self-Aligning Bearing is suitable for applications where misalignment can arise due to errors in mounting or due to deflection of the shaft.
