Description: An oil level gauge, commonly known as a dipstick, is a measuring tool used to determine the oil level in an engine. It consists of a long, slender metal rod with markings or indicators at one end and a handle at the other end. The dipstick is inserted into the engine's oil reservoir, typically through a tube, and allows the user to visually check the oil level. Attributes: • Handle joint must withstand 90 N of pull. • Phosphate coating to be applied full length of the blade Applications: An oil level gauge is used to give a clear visible manual indication of the oil level in the oil pan. It is extensively used in Cat 120K, 12K, 140K and 160K Motor Graders.
