348-9257: Brake Accumulator

Description: Cat accumulators, such as part # 348-9257, are used in mining and construction equipment. They store and release pressure as needed to stabilize machine-specific hydraulic systems, allowing the use of less powerful pumps. Brake accumulators enable stopping even when the engine is not running. Warning: Consult your dealer regarding the proper procedures for relieving accumulator system pressure prior to servicing the accumulator. Failure to do so may result in injury or death.
