A Bucket Cylinder Piston is used to control the movement of the bucket. The piston has a series of grooves on its surface. The grooves are used to contain the fluid that is used to power the piston. The piston is attached to a connecting rod, which in turn is attached to a bucket linkage. When the fluid is pressurized, it enters the cylinder and pushes the piston down. The connecting rod then converts the linear motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the bucket linkage. This causes the bucket to lower.
