Description: Sun Gears are components of an automotive differential, which is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels while allowing them to rotate at different speeds. They are located in the center of the differential and are meshed with the planet gears, which are in turn meshed with the ring gear. When power is applied to the sun gear, it turns the planet gears, which in turn drives the ring gear and rotates the wheels. It is smaller than the planet gears and has fewer teeth, which means they rotate at a higher speed than the planet gears.
