382-8738: Water Heater

Cat® Engine Water Heaters, which are electrically operated immersion heaters fitted to the water jacket surrounding the cylinder block of an engine to warm the coolant in cold weather and function as a starting aid. They are essential for maintaining ideal starting temperatures for your diesel engines. They are designed to keep the engine temperature at an optimum level for startup and load acceptance. This requires the engine coolant to be maintained at 100 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, in order to avoid a dangerous cold start. Heater Cord is designed to withstand electrical applications where high temperatures would affect normal cords using wiring jacket and un-twisted wires.
