383-0347: Rear Main Cover Seal

Description: A Rear Main Cover Seal is often called a rear crankshaft seal, as it is located on the rear side of the engine where the crankshaft connects to the transmission. The rear main Seal is designed to provide a tight Seal between the crankshaft and the engine Block, while still allowing the crankshaft to rotate freely. Attributes: • Provides smoother and wear-free operation on the sealing component because of its flexibility • Protects the internal components of the Cylinder Block unit from contamination Applications: A Rear Main Cover Seal is used in the Cylinder Block of internal combustion engines to prevent oil leakage from the rear of the engine, this is mostly used in Cat 303.5E, 304.5E, 304E, 305.5E, 305E, 306, 306.5, 306E, 307, 307.5 and 307E Excavators, 901C, 902C, 903C and 903D Wheel Loader.
