Description: Track shoes provide flotation and traction for the machine and protection for the link assembly. Master track shoes are installed over the master track link. Attributes: Extreme service track shoes should be used wherever the moderate service track shoe bends or breaks, or where links outlast track shoes. Extreme service track shoes are both stronger to resist bending and breaking and have more allowable wear material than the moderate service track shoe. Extreme service track shoes are rolled from tough alloy steel. Trapezoidal track shoes have a trapezoidal hole cut between the bolts to provide a place to relieve extrudable type packing material.
