Description: The air shutoff shaft also known as the throttle shaft, is a component in an automobile engine that regulates the flow of air into the engine. It is located at the entrance of the intake manifold and is connected to the accelerator pedal via a cable. When the driver presses the accelerator pedal, the throttle shaft rotates, opening the throttle plate and allowing air to flow into the engine. This increased airflow provides more oxygen for combustion, which results in increased power output.
