453-9749: 576.6mm Long Exhaust Heat Shield

Description: An Exhaust Heat Shield is used in the Cylinder Head to protect the surrounding components from excessive heat. It is designed with holes and contains brackets, reinforcements, a thermal insulation shield, and weld nuts that are welded to be mounted on the exhaust assembly to protect the components from the high temperature of the exhaust manifold, preventing them from overheating and potentially causing damage or failure. Attributes: • High strength and highly resistant to wear and corrosion. • Provided with 6 weld nuts to fit the fasteners of size 5/16" • Provided insulation with HSA fiber paper of thickness 6.35mm to reduce the heat conductivity of the shield assembly. • Provided with thermal insulation with a maximum conductivity of 0.132 W/m.K at 810.93 K, which resists the heat flow. Applications: An Exhaust Heat Shield is used to protect the surrounding components of the exhaust manifold from the high heat, mostly used in CAT G3516, G3516B, and G3520C Generator Set, G3516B, G3516J, G3520B and G3520J Engine (Piston).
