454-5879: 296.5mm Long Exhaust Heat Shield

Description: An Exhaust Heat Shield is used in the Cylinder Head to protect the surrounding components from excessive heat. It contains a thermal insulation shield, spring, tag id, hooks, and washers that are designed to be mounted on the exhaust assembly to protect the components from the high temperature of the exhaust manifold, preventing them from overheating and potentially causing damage or failure. Attributes: • High strength and highly resistant to wear and corrosion. • Provided with thermal insulation with a maximum conductivity of 0.171 W/m.K at 1033 K for inner insulation and 0.094 W/m.K at 644 K for outer insulation, which resists the heat flow. • Provided insulation with silicon-coated fiberglass as the outer skin (0.356mm thick), and fiberglass fabric as the inner skin (1.01mm thick) to reduce the heat conductivity of the shield assembly. Applications: An Exhaust Heat Shield is used to protect the surrounding components of the exhaust manifold from the high heat, mostly used in CAT G3508, G3508B, G3508J, G3512, G3512B, G3512J, G3516B, and G3520B Engine (Piston).
