When the solenoid coil is energized, it creates a magnetic field that moves a plunger or a spool inside the valve, allowing hydraulic fluid to flow through the valve. When the solenoid is de-energized, the plunger or spool returns to its original position, blocking the flow of hydraulic fluid.
