492-0231: Master Track Pin

Description: Track pins, along with the bushings, hold the track links together. The pin acts as a hinge at an adjoining bushing. Master track pins, such as 492-0231, are installed in the master track link. Attributes: • Standard Master Track Pin • Length: 251 mm (9.9 in) • Diameter: 47.6 mm (1.87 in) • For use with General Duty, Grease Lubricated Track (GLT) systems. • General Duty Track was developed to provide you a cost effective option for later-in-life-cycle or lower use machines. It is offered at a low initial price and designed for run to destruction. All Cat Undercarriage is backed by Undercarriage Assurance and made by Caterpillar and is hardened and quality tested to ensure productivity and performance appropriate to jobsite needs. • Grease Lubricated Track features internally greased pins and bushings to eliminate contact and friction, each track joint sealed to retain the grease. This improves internal wear life by 25% over sealed track, decreases undercarriage noise and reduces the potential of frozen or seized joints.
