4N-2773: Governor Control Shaft

A Governor Control Shaft is used to control the speed of the engine. It is made of metal and is connected to the governor and the engine throttle. The governor control shaft works by transferring the motion of the governor to the throttle. When the governor senses that the engine speed is too high, it will move the governor control shaft to close the throttle. This reduces the amount of air that enters the engine and causes the engine speed to decrease.
