Descriptions: The Serpentine Belt is also called an accessory Belt, fan Belt, and Drive Belt. It allows the Belt to pass over more than three pulleys with a large enough wrap angle to avoid slipping, idler pulleys that press against the back of the belt are included, forcing the belt into a serpentine shape. The belt is long and snakes through several pulleys. Attributes: • Can withstand wear and tear resistance. • Provide 8 ribs for a better grip and reduce slippage. • Effective Length of the Belt will be 2680 ± 6mm. • Flexible materials such as rubber or synthetic polymers, which allow them to bend and wrap. Applications: The Serpentine Belt is used in Accessory Drive connected with various components like the Charging Alternators, Fan Drive, and Refrigerant Compressors, and in Engine Arrangement, mostly used in Cat D8, D8T, and D9 Track Type Tractors, PL72, PL83, and PL87 Pipelayers.
