553-7145: Sealed & Lubricated Track

Description: Track groups (553-7145) are formed when track shoes and hardware bolt the shoes to the link assembly. Attributes: • General Duty, Sealed and Lubricated Track (SALT), Positive Pin Retention (PPR) • Extreme Service, Single Grouser Track Shoe • Track Pitch: 216 mm (8.5 in) • Shoe Width: 610 mm (24 in) • Number of Track Sections: 44 • Cat Sealed and Lubricated Track (SALT) seals lubricant into your undercarriage system and keeps abrasives out. It eliminates internal pin and bushing wear to reduce maintenance costs and downtime, while increasing service life and serviceability. SALT offers a universal undercarriage configuration for a wide range of underfoot conditions when coupled with a track design that matches your machine and operating environment. • Positive Pin Retention (PPR) track has a metal retaining ring pressed into the groove between the pin and the link. This prevents end-play generation and helps ensure oil retention in high impact applications for excavators. • Extreme service track shoes should be used wherever the moderate service track shoe bends or breaks, or where links outlast track shoes. Extreme service track shoes are both stronger to resist bending and breaking and have more allowable wear material than the moderate service track shoe. Extreme service track shoes are rolled from tough alloy steel. • General Duty Track was developed to provide you a cost effective option for later-in-life-cycle or lower use machines. It is offered at a low initial price and designed for run to destruction.
