Description: A Belt Tensioner is a component used to maintain proper tension of the alternator Belt. The Tensioner typically consists of a spring-loaded arm that is attached to the engine block. The arm is positioned so that it presses against the alternator Belt keeping it properly aligned and tightened. The Belt is responsible for transmitting power from the engine to the alternator, which generates electricity to power the electrical components of the Cat Machine.
