Description: A Wastegate Shaft is used in Exhaust Lines to actuate the opening and closing of the Exhaust Bypass Valve. The Shaft is typically a long, cylindrical shaft that is designed to support the bypass valve mechanism and transfer motion from the actuator rod to the valves. It is connected between the lever assembly and the exhaust assembly using bushings and washers. Attributes: • Precipitation hardening is done to provide high strength and high heat and wear resistance. • Withstands high pressures of exhaust gases. • Provides connection between the lever and exhaust assembly to control the opening and closing of valves. • Highly resistant to corrosion. Applications: A Wastegate Shaft is used to support and helps to actuate the Exhaust Bypass Valve, mostly used in CAT G3606, G3606|3606, and G3608 Engine (Piston).
