Description: A Straight Sleeve Bearing sometimes called bushings, journal bearings or plain bearings facilitates motion between two components. They are appropriate for a variety of heavy-duty applications because of their high load capacity. Sleeve bearings are made of metal, plastic, or fiber-reinforced composite sleeves. This Sleeve Bearing is placed inside the head of the cylinder assembly to provide smooth operation of the piston rod. Attributes: • Can handle radial load and thrust loads. • Provides shock load resistance due to their greater contact zone. Applications: A Straight Sleeve Bearing is used in Stick Cylinder to provide support for the piston rod as it moves in and out of the cylinder, generally used to reduce the friction between the moving parts, mostly used in Cat 320D3 GC Excavators.
