Description: A Shim is a thin, flat, circular piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center that is used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt or a screw. A Shim can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces and that is used to adjust the clearance between two mating surfaces or to compensate for dimensional variations.
