601-4867: Self Sealing Magnetic Plugs

Description: Self sealing magnetic plugs, like part # 601-4867, allow the magnetic probe to be removed from the plug body to be inspected without needing to drain fluids from the wheel or reposition the wheel to measure the oil level from the port above. Cat plugs are plain or threaded disks or cylinders used for sealing holes and ports on engine blocks, oil pans, and housings. Plugs are most generally used as shipping plugs or drain plugs. Plugs are designed to contain or to stop fluid flow and hold pressure when properly assembled. They are often used to permanently seal holes that are required for manufacturing or the assembly of internal components in engine blocks, valve bodies and other fluid system components.
