Description: Cat® Insulation are intended primarily for heat resistant covering for use in engine compartment of Cat machines. May also be used for cushioning, sound absorption, vibration isolation, and thermal insulation. Generally used where a barrier layer is not needed. These thermal insulation and acoustical foam pieces are integrated into the design of Cat heavy duty equipment to block and absorb heat. It has a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) pre-applied on special release liners designed for quick and easy application of a neat, precise strip of dry adhesive. Cat service parts offer simple repair and replacement of system components in Cat Machines. Application: Cat® Thermal Insulation foams are used in engine compartment to reduce machine operation temperature to safe levels based on national and international standards.
