Description: A Shim is used to adjust the fit or tension of the clamp around the compressor housing at the Turbocharger in the Air Inlet and Exhaust System. Shim is a thin, flat, circular piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center that is used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt or a screw. A Shim can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces.
