Description: A Straight Sleeve Bearing sometimes called bushings, journal bearings or plain bearings facilitate motion between two components. They can serve multiple purposes at the same time: constrain motion, serve as a guide, provide support, and reduce friction. They work with linear, rotating, and oscillating motion. Sleeve bearings are cylindrical and straight, as opposed to tapered or conical. Sleeve bearings are made of metal, plastic, or fiber-reinforced composite sleeves.
