The Butterfly Plate is a circular disc that is positioned within the valve body and is connected to a spindle or shaft at its center. When the valve is in operation, the spindle can be rotated to adjust the position of the butterfly plate. By adjusting the position of the plate, the size of the opening can be controlled, thereby regulating the flow rate.
