6I-1946: Gas Pressure Regulator

A Gas Pressure Regulator operates based on the principle of force balance. When the pressure at the inlet exceeds the desired outlet pressure, the diaphragm flexes inward, causing the valve disk to move away from the valve seat, allowing gas to flow through. As the outlet pressure reaches the desired level, the diaphragm applies force against the control spring, closing the valve and reducing the flow.
