Description: A Governor Control Ratchet is used to maintain a constant engine speed. The governor-control ratchet works by engaging with the teeth on the governor-control quadrant, which is a graduated arc or circles with a movable arm or index that can be rotated around the center of the arc. The position of the arm or index on the quadrant corresponds to the speed of the engine. The governor-control ratchet is designed to prevent the governor-control quadrant from moving in the opposite direction, which can cause the engine speed to fluctuate.
