6Y-6657: Seal Ring Straight Adapter

A Seal Ring Straight Adapter is used to connect mechanical components. It consists of a male end and a female end, both with seal ring grooves designed to hold an O-ring seal to prevent slippage. The male end of the adapter has an external spline on its surface. The female end of the adapter has an internal spline with a seal ring groove to hold the other side of the O-ring seal. When connected, the O-ring seal is compressed between the two seal ring grooves to form a tight seal. Attributes: • Hardened by nitriding process up to Brinell Hardness of 3.7 - 3.9 • The external spline has 13 teeth, whereas the internal spline has 14 teeth • Handles high pressure without deforming or breaking and provide a leak-free connection Application: A Seal Ring Straight Adapter is used for connecting Gears in the Pump Drive unit for efficient power transmission.
