The Magneto Housing is used to provide structural integrity and protect the internal components from damage. It is to securely hold the gear drive magneto in place and provide a stable mounting point. Inside the housing, the gear drive magneto consists of a rotating magnet or armature that generates an electrical current when it passes by a stationary coil.
