7X-6017: 3mm Thick Insulation Gasket

An Insulation Gasket is a seal that fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally used to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. It is a closed-cell PVC foam used inside the case assembly of the heater or Air Conditioner, enclosed by plate assembly and insulation, generally used for insulation and vibration damping. These gaskets are designed using the right combination of material and profile to deliver performance and application. Attributes: • Provided with a tensile strength of 117 kPa and density of 96 kg/m to withstand high temperatures and pressures • Provided with adhesive backing on one side Applications: An Insulation Gasket is used in the cabin heater and air conditioner, providing a tight seal between the insulation and the plate, absorbing vibration, and reducing noise.
