9G-0331: Transmission Planetary Ring Gear

The Ring Gear is the outer gear and it is held stationary. It meshes with the planet gears, which are smaller gears that are mounted on a carrier. When the sun gear, which is the central gear in the set, is driven, it rotates the planet's gears. The planet gears, in turn, rotate the ring gear.
