9R-4024: Flanged Sleeve Bearing

A Flanged Sleeve Bearing is a sliding contact bearing with a flange at one end extending radially outward from the outside diameter. The Flanged Sleeve Bearings have a flange integral with the outer ring to axially constrain the bearing which helps to reduce mounting complexity and cost. The oil grooves are cut into the bearing surfaces which act as oil reservoirs to hold and distribute the oil between the rubbing surfaces. This flange sleeve bearing is used on the side of the window. Attributes: • Thin wall construction prevents excessive heat build-up that could cause bearing failure. • Designed to minimize friction between the shaft and the bearing surface. • Possesses high shock load resistance, and minimizes vibration. Applications: A Flanged Sleeve Bearing is used in the window cabin in the operator station.
