The Junction Housing is made of grey iron material to withstand high temperatures and the corrosive nature of exhaust gases. Its primary function is to direct the exhaust gases from the engine into the turbine wheel, which drives the compressor wheel on the intake side of the turbocharger. Attributes: • Must withstand 240 Kpa Water Pressure • Used to maximize the energy transfer to the turbine wheel Applications: The Junction Housing is used to direct exhaust gases to drive the turbine wheel and generate boost pressure.
