The Gear Pump Body is the main housing for the gear pump. It contains the gears, bearings, and other components that make up the pump. The gears mesh together to create a positive displacement pumping action, and the bearings support the gears and reduce friction. The gear pump body must be sealed to prevent the fluid from leaking. This is achieved through the use of gaskets and O-Rings.
