The Governor Drive Spring is responsible for regulating the speed of the engine to ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency. It is located between the engine governor and the fuel injection pump. The compressed spring pushes against the fuel injection pump, reducing the amount of fuel that is injected into the engine. This causes the engine speed to decrease.
