A Universal Joint also known as U-joint is a mechanical coupling that allows for the transmission of torque and rotation between two shafts that are not aligned on the same axis. It consists of two yoke-shaped parts, referred to as yokes which are connected by a cross-shaped part known as the spider. The yokes are attached to the ends of the respective shafts, while the cross fits within the yokes, connecting them.
